Oakleigh Grammar is seeking to appoint a Bus Coordinator to confidently manage Driver shift allocations, Student bus registrations, bus Servicing and Maintenance, foster relationships with bus drivers and parents, and a host of additional operational and strategic objectives.

About the Role

The Bus Coordinator is responsible to the Business Manager and is a member of the School Administration team. You are responsible for a broad range of activities, many of which have dedicated teams within the school.

Important Selection Criteria

  • Recognised Victorian Working with Children Check registration is mandatory.
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
  • Experience and ability to work with individuals from multi-cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships with individuals at all levels to promote
    the School.
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and a
    commitment to promote the welfare of students and the School’s community.
  • Outstanding organisational and administration skills
  • Extensive knowledge of school practices and knowledge of educational legal regulations
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving educational environment.
  • Exemplary values pertaining to personal qualities of objectivity, sensitivity, and integrity
  • Strong leadership abilities, with a passion for fostering a positive work culture.
  • Advanced skills in the full suite of MS Office and an ability to learn and develop skills in software applicable to the position requirements.

About the Role

Oakleigh Grammar is looking for a casual bus driver to transport children to and from school following a scheduled route and ensuring their safety, as well as covering excursions and sports as needed.

Oakleigh Grammar manages a customisable private bus service from 8 to 24 seats offering safe and friendly door-to-door pick-ups and drop-offs across Melbourne’s Eastern and South Eastern suburbs.

This position is flexible, and shifts may operate over 7 days of the week at any time of the day. Attractive hourly rate on a casual basis.
